The Workshop

Where sawdust meets artistry and every piece begins its journey

A Legacy in Wood

Wobble Bowls began in a small garage workshop, where Pop Pop first discovered the magic of the lathe. What started as a retirement hobby quickly blossomed into a passion—and eventually, a way to share handcrafted beauty with others.

The name “Wobble Bowls” came from those early days of learning, when not every bowl came off the lathe perfectly round. Pop Pop embraced these imperfections, recognizing that each wobble told a story of growth, patience, and the human touch that no machine could replicate.

Today, the bowls rarely wobble—but the name stuck as a reminder that perfection isn't the goal. Character is. Every piece that leaves the workshop carries the marks of its maker and the natural beauty of the wood itself.

From Tree to Table

01

Sourcing

Each piece of wood is carefully selected for its grain, character, and story. We work with local sources to rescue wood destined for waste.

02

Drying

Fresh wood must dry slowly—sometimes for months or even years—to prevent cracking. Patience is essential at this stage.

03

Turning

On the lathe, the bowl takes shape. This is where skill meets intuition, following the wood's grain to reveal its hidden beauty.

04

Finishing

Multiple coats of food-safe oil are hand-applied and buffed, protecting the wood and bringing out its natural warmth.
